Summary:

Upper Great Lakes Family Health (UGLFH) is seeking a Marketing & Outreach Specialist to support the mission and brand of the organization by creating, promoting, and managing marketing and outreach initiatives.  This role engages patients, community members, partners, media, and employees through digital, traditional, and community-based marketing strategies.  

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and executes digital and traditional outreach & marketing strategies to increase awareness of UGL's mission, services, and brand.
  • Creates and distributes outreach materials to patients, community members, partner organizations, and local businesses.
  • Recruits, coordinates, and supports volunteers for community events.
  • Plans and delivers presentations at community events and organizational meetings.
  • Designs innovative marketing materials and creatives with consistent branding across all platforms, materials, and communication channels to enhance branding ensuring. 
  • Oversees website updates and search engine optimization (SEO) in collaboration with a third-party vendors.
  • Coordinates internal and external speaking opportunities to promote education and brand visibility.
  • Represents UGL at community events, conferences, podcasts, and radio broadcasts.
  • Willingness to travel to all UGLFH clinic locations and events, as needed (expense to do so reimbursable, as defined by policy)

Job Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in relevant subject area such as Marketing or Communications, or related field.  Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in a marketing and communications positions, supporting the coordination and execution of marketing and communication projects.
  • Experience with photography and image editing software, preferred.
  • Well-developed oral and written communications skills to meet a variety of communication needs.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
  • Comfortable serving as company spokesperson for local market news media opportunities or at events.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Teams and Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator and Canva, as well as Website content management and SEO practices
