Job Summary:

The Residence Manager in the Developmental Disabilities (DD) program coordinates, organizes and manages the residence, conveys clear understanding of program and agency philosophy to staff, and promotes appropriate working/living atmosphere within the home.

Duties & Responsibilities:

THIS POSITION HAS A $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS

The Residence Manager serves as a role model and advocate, ensures individual safety, oversees proper maintenance and cleanliness of the residence; develops and implements Individual Habilitation Plans, Person Centered Plans and ensures training of adult living skills in a dignified and respectful manner.


Education & Experience

Associate degree or high school diploma plus 5 years of related work experience and 3 years of supervisory experience. A valid, non-restricted and acceptable driver’s license is required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. Depending on location SCIP-R (Perform Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention-revised) physical intervention is required. Stair climbing is required (where applicable). Special Demands: Residence Manager should use lifts provided for all lifting.  They also need to be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. On occasion, it may be necessary to lift a greater weight, in which case, assistance may be needed.
