Job Summary:

The Sr. Accountability and Compliance Specialist is responsible for the tracking and collecting all Developmental Disabilities data/reports related to accountability services and will be responsible for supporting incident management practices across all OPWDD programs.


Duties & Responsibilities:

The Sr. Accountability and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing tools to internally audit programs and test operational policies and procedures against regulatory and claiming requirements. The Sr. Accountability and Compliance Specialist must be able to manage time independently and adhere to all deadlines that can include unexpected demands for information and/or additional assignments. You are also responsible for the supervision of compliance analysts and conduct audits to identify areas of vulnerability and/or risk and provide recommendations for corrective actions.  


Education & Experience

A bachelor’s degree is required as well as at least three (3) years of compliance experience in OPWDD or Department of Health. The applicant must have knowledge and experience in applicable rules and regulations of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). Must have excellent analytic, written, and verbal skills and the ability to clearly and concisely present complex information to a diverse spectrum of individuals. Demonstrate excel knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

Travel unassisted.  Write notes, and type on the computer.
