THIS POSITION HAS A $1,000 SIGN ON BONUSThe Supported Employment Specialist will provide the services in a variety of settings, particularly work sites, and will provide intensive on-going support transportation to and from the job site. This position will interface with employers regarding the child’s disability (or disabilities) and needs related to his or her healthcare issue(s), and other activities needed to sustain paid work (e.g., employment assessment, job placement, adaptive/assistive equipment necessary for employment).
An associate’s degree plus two (2) year of experience working with severely emotional disturbed (SED) children is required OR a bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year-experience working with children or severely emotionally disturbed (SED) children. A valid driver’s license is required.
While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand; use mobility, handle, or feel and reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
