Job Summary:
Coordinate the management of the Agency’s Public Relations activities to include social media platforms and website, community engagement activities and development of promotional materials. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance our brand presence and engage with our target audience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Agency’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create written, graphic, and video content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation.
  • Stay informed about emerging social media tools, trends, and platforms.
  •  Assist with special projects, events, and community engagement activities.
  • Monitor social media channels for customer inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and report audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects.
  • Assist with managing the content, functionality, and format of the website.  This includes periodic audits to ensure the content stays timely and relevant. 
  • Interface with Agency Programs in promoting special events.
  • Assist with managing the SDFS Online Store in unison with agency Purchasing staff.
  • As needed Travel to other agency locations (Bronx) to promote our Online Store; this will include presenting the items to staff and processing their orders. 

Education & Experience

BA/BS in communications, marketing, public relations or related field (essential).  Three plus years related experience.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
