Job Summary:
The Vice President of Staff Development will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. He/She will implement and manage initiatives focused on but not limited to professional opportunities/ development for Staff to include Education/Certifications, Training and Mentorship. This position will interface with agency Staff evaluating Career goals in accordance with Staff Development opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop an array of professional opportunities for staff at all levels.
  • Work with the Organization Learning and Employee Development Department in evaluating professional staff training.
  • Meets with the Chief Administrative Officer regularly in order to keep abreast of the Agency’s goals and challenges specific to staff development and related areas.

  • Creates and implements strategies for the effective development and implementation of programs specific to staff development and related areas.
  • Develop area, i.e. Clinical, Administrative, Technical learning opportunities for staff.
  • Interface with Staff informing of Government and State Agency Educational/Funding Opportunities.
  • Assess Staff career paths through meetings/ discussion.
  •  Attend and Present at Agency’s New Staff Orientations as directed by Supervisor.
  • Attend Agency Recruitment Events as directed by Supervisor.
  • Prepare Written material for ongoing distribution to Staff.

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in related field required. LMSW preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ progressive management /supervisory experience managing Staff Development and Staff Training programs.
  • A valid, non-restricted driver’s license is required for this position.

While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively.  The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
