Job Summary:

The Residence Manager in the Developmental Disabilities (DD) program coordinates, organizes and manages the residence, conveys clear understanding of program and agency philosophy to staff, and promotes appropriate working/living atmosphere within the home.

Duties & Responsibilities:

THIS POSITION HAS A $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS

The Residence Manager serves as a role model and advocates for the rights of the individuals supported. 
The Residence Manager ensures individual safety, oversees proper maintenance and cleanliness of the residence. Residence Managers develop and implement Person Centered Plans and ensures training of adult living skills in a dignified and respectful manner.


Education & Experience

Associate degree or high school diploma plus 5 years of related work experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
 A valid, non-restricted and acceptable driver’s license is required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. Depending on location SCIP-R (Perform Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention-revised) physical intervention is required. Stair climbing is required (where applicable). Special Demands: Residence Manager should use lifts provided for all lifting.  They also need to be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. On occasion, it may be necessary to lift a greater weight, in which case, assistance may be needed.
