Job Summary:
Prevocational services are individually designed to prepare a youth, age 14 or older with serious emotional disturbance, to engage in paid work, volunteer work or career exploration.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prevocational services are not job-specific, but rather are geared toward facilitating success in any work environment for children whose disabilities do not permit them access to other prevocational services. 

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years experience working with children or children with severely emotionally disturbed children, OR;
  • Associate’s degree plus three (3) years of related work experience with severely emotionally disturbed children.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with transitional age youth or young adults a must.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand; use mobility, handle, or feel and reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
