The Speech Pathologist -Bilingual n the TORCH Program implements treatment plans as part of therapeutic intervention in the area of speech and language development, utilize standardized tests as well as clinical observations to assess students’ strengths, deficits and prepares written evaluation reports as part of the intake process, develops IEP goals and objectives for students evaluated in the intake process.
A New York State Speech Pathology License, New York State Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped and New York State Bilingual Extension Certificate (for Bilingual Therapists) are required, experience with language impaired children.
While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch and climb stairs.
Able to provide physical “hands-on” intervention when necessary
