Job Summary:

The Socio-Therapist Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the Socio-Therapists. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the daily supervision of the Socio-Therapists to ensure casework contacts and documentation are completed as required. They will meet with the individual Socio-Therapists weekly to review case needs and identify next steps. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring behavioral plans are completed, updated and reviewed timely and that the plans are appropriate for the identified child. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring staff are documenting their casework contacts/other documentation as needed and entering supervisory notes into the case record monthly at a minimum. The Supervisor will coordinate and facilitate treatment team meetings in compliance with the enhanced family foster care (EFFC) model. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the Socio-Therapists are in compliance with ACS, OFCS and internal policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assume on-site administrative responsibility for all aspects of the EFFC Socio-Therapist therapeutic process. Provide supervision, training and evaluations to Socio-Therapists and other assigned staff as needed.


Education & Experience

MSW and/or equivalent (LMFT, LMHC) and at least two (2) years of experience working in the field of children’s mental health. (2) years of supervisory experience required.  LMSW/LCSW preferred.  Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.  A valid, non-restricted, NYS driver’s license is required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel in the community as needed and good computer skills. While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is required to stand for long periods and have mobility. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
