Duties & Responsibilities: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) must assist individuals with their daily living skills as well as with meal planning and preparation, and transfer individuals in and out of wheelchairs. Driving is mandatory and a valid, non-restricted driver license is required for this position. Direct Support Professionals must be awake during the entire shift. Sleeping on the job is prohibited. Education & Experience High School diploma and a valid, non-restricted driver’s license a must. Related work experience required. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. Must be able to do all SCIP-R physical interventions including use of lifts that are provided for all required lifting of individuals, and be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to travel stairs to the 2nd floor as necessary.
