About This Position

The Quality Engineer is an experienced level position requiring a minimum of 7 years of experience. Specifically the Quality Engineer is experienced in one or more of the following areas: Configuration Management, Supplier Management, Audits, Inspection techniques (non-destructive, electronics, mechanical), or Manufacturing processes. Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer include, designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. As a Quality Engineer you will impact our customer and employee experience. See below for the specific responsibilities and requirements of our Quality Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products
  • Develops and Implements quality control policies and evaluates production limitations
  • Developing and implementing new or revised quality and control standards.
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Coordinates and Leads internal and external audits acting as primary point of contact
  • Leads Root Cause and Corrective Action process through full life-cycle
  • Leads and provides oversight for the RMA process
  • Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
  • Developing, implements and monitors corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Works collaboratively and in conjunction with the larger function and leads the local site Quality team

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
  • 7+ years in progressive QE position
  • Previous responsibility for the design, set-up and implementation of a QMS System
  • Understanding and experience in aerospace standards AS9100 and/or ISO-9001, and its general practices.
  • Has successfully has led a small group
  • Familiarity with calibration processes and documentation.
  • Excellent internal and external Customer interface skills.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to get things done through influence
  • Proven ability to lead projects that are complex in nature
  • ASQ certification (preferred)
  • J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610 certifications (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ESD requirements and practices. (preferred)
  • Electrical and electronic inspection processes. (preferred)
