Job Summary

Coastal Electric Cooperative is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees, members, and visitors. This position performs routine building maintenance services, light building maintenance, and grounds keeping duties both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Clean walls, windows, doors, and office furniture
• Remove trash and waste daily
• Inspect plumbing and HVAC equipment and report repair needs
• Replace light bulbs and maintain lighting inventory
• Set up and break down meeting rooms as needed
• Secure buildings after hours and assist with opening/closing for meetings
• Perform grounds maintenance including mowing and landscape bed care
• Pick up mail, deliver deposits, run errands, and shred confidential documents
• Works with supervisor to ensure OSHA compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions
• Knowledge of cleaning and lawn maintenance chemicals and safe usage
• Ability to operate cleaning and lawn equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Valid Georgia driver’s license required
• Willingness to complete 2–3 months of on-the-job training
