Job Description
Catapult Consultants is now hiring a Technical Writer/ Editor. This person plans, develops and coordinates internal and external communications programs to increase understanding of the US-CERT’s strategies and goals.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Working with Senior US-CERT Management, develops communications to help increase awareness of and understanding of programs and initiatives.
• Producing a variety of communication products.
• Gathering information; writing and editing technical, promotional and general interest materials; and coordinating publications and other collateral material using both print and electronic media including the web and desktop publishing software to draft, edit, and lay out material for distribution.
• Has responsibility for final reviews of proposed publications for style, design, layout, and editorial aspects before government approval.
• Developing and implementing communication plans and coordinating other communication resources as needed.

All levels of experience will be considered for this for this position.

Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Candidate preference to shift will be considered. Shifts are defined as follows:

Shift 1: Mon - Fri, 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Shift 2: Mon - Fri, 2:00PM - 10:30PM
Shift 3: Mon - Fri, 10:00PM - 6:30AM
Shift 4: Sat and Sun, 6:00AM - 6:30PM, plus two (2) eight-hour weekday shifts
Shift 5: Sat 6:00PM - Sun 6:30AM and Sun 6:00 PM - Mon 6:30 AM, plus two (2) eight-hour weekday shifts
Abilities Required:
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel while typing at a computer keyboard.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, or lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The vision requirements include: close vision.
