Job Description

Catapult Consultants is now hiring Cyber Network Engineers/Information Systems Engineers (multiple levels). The Cyber Network Engineer will be responsible for managing network infrastructure including configuration, implementation and ongoing support/updating of various networking equipment. Responsibilities and qualifications may change based on level. 

Specific Responsibilities:
• Design and implement the network required to provide the enhanced lab capabilities including IP address space determination as well as the incorporating of NATting and VLANs as needed.
• Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture and work closely with the customer and explain and justify design/architecture choices.
• Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conduct design reviews of the networking design with the customer and NG technical leads and delivering comprehensive documentation.
• Support the coordination of the network implementation at all of the lab sites and conduct testing of the network design and implementation.
• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI clearance. In addition, selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation for continued employment.
• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or a related technical field preferred). Four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Experience designing and implementing networking solutions for multi-site infrastructures and experience with secure lockdown of network components.
• Experience configuring switches, routers, Firewalls and other network equipment.
• Experience designing and implementing secure remote access solutions and sharing of information locations across the U.S.
• Experience with solutions that transfer large amounts of data across both LAN and WAN connections.
• Experience performing Trade Studies.
• Experience with Juniper firewalls.
• Proficiency securing network traffic both on internal networks and over the internet.
• Experience with Cisco routers and firewalls as well as other Cisco hardware and software preferred.
• Experience with IDS/IPS and proxies preferred. 
• Knowledge of Nessus, TripWire, SNORT and YARA signatures beneficial.

• Networking certifications, especially Cisco, preferred.
• CISSP Certification preferred.
Abilities Required:
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel while typing at a computer keyboard.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, or lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The vision requirements include: close vision.
