Job Description
Catapult Consultants is now hiring Threat Analysts/Cyber Intelligence Analysts (multiple levels). These positions are part of Catapult Consultants' NEO Horizon program, formerly called United States Computer Emergency Readiness (US-CERT), responsible for analyzing and reducing cyber threats and vulnerabilities, disseminating cyber threat warning information, and coordinating incident response activities. The Threat Analyst will conduct a wide range of cyber/information security activities and analysis. Responsibilities and qualifications may change based on level. 

Specific Responsibilities:
• Conduct research, collect data and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to networked weapons platforms and other information networks. 
• Analyze network events to determine the impact on current operations and conduct all-source research to determine advisory capability and intent. 
• Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information.
• Work closely with other technical, forensic and incident management personnel to develop a fuller understanding of the intent, objectives and activity of cyber threat actors and then correlate, assess and report threat data. 
• Produce results in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet iterative deadlines, including producing high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations and findings for senior US government intelligence and network operations officials. 
• Develop, maintain and update analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Active TS clearance required, TS/SCI clearance preferred. In addition, selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation for continued employment.
• Bachelor’s degree (Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related discipline preferred). Four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Experience learning and adapting technical specifications, system requirements and other application design information. 
• Proficiency with Network Administration and Network Security.
• Excellent problem solving skills, organizational skills and written and oral communication skills.
• Previous experience providing on-site consulting support for a technical project with a federal customer preferred. 
• Knowledge of Nessus, TripWire, SNORT and YARA signatures beneficial.

Certifications:
• None required.
Abilities Required:
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel while typing at a computer keyboard.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, or lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The vision requirements include: close vision.
