Salary Range:
$30-$38 per hour based on experience 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

IT Administration & User Support

  • Help Desk & General Tech Support: Monitor and resolve internal tech support tickets promptly. Provide comprehensive first-line and escalated support for hardware, software, network connectivity, and application issues.
  • Hardware Management: Procure, set up, and deploy new hardware equipment (e.g., workstations, laptops, mobile devices, network devices) to the domain, install necessary software and virus protection, and add to inventory.
  • Hardware Repair: Maintain warranties, coordinate with outside repair services, and perform in-house repairs when applicable. Oversee the physical destruction of hard drives and arrange for e-waste recycling in compliance with HIPAA destruction requirements.
  • Inventory Control: Administer and maintain the Asset Sonar inventory control system, including deployment schedules and ongoing support.
  • Printer Administration: Deploy and maintain network printers on the server, serve as the primary contact for Watts, and handle installation and maintenance of standalone printers.

System & Application Management

  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Assign and manage M365 licenses (paid and free), maintain and reset user passwords, and assist with yearly subscription payments.
  • Google Workspace Administration: Create and maintain global policies, manage the addition/removal of applications for all users, and maintain organizational email lists.
  • Adobe Admin Console: Assign Adobe Pro licenses, maintain/reset subscription passwords, and assist with yearly subscription payments.
  • Zix Secure Email Administration: Manage yearly subscription payments and utilize the admin console to monitor the user portal for secure emails.
  • Dexis Software Administration (Dental): Provide specialized support for dental operations, assisting with the Dexis software and serving as a point person for Patterson technicians.
  • Active Directory Administration: Manage user accounts for hiring/termination, maintain user security, and add/delete personal drives.
  • Sophos Administrator: Oversee Sophos virus protection deployment and installation, manage phish testing deployment schedules, and maintain knowledge of the software and support.
  • Drobo Administrator: Maintain external hardware and hard drives, assign staff access, ensure connectivity, oversee Barracuda backup schedules, and monitor user access.

Network & Infrastructure Management

  • Server/Domain Administration: Implement policy changes and maintain the organization's servers and domain infrastructure.
  • Firewall Administration: Maintain VPN tunnels, manage changes to blocked sites as needed, and grant/maintain remote access.
  • Wi-Fi System Administration: Maintain and optimize Wi-Fi systems across all office locations.
  • Barracuda Backup System Administration: Monitor daily backup system reports, retrieve lost files for staff, and serve as the primary contact for Barracuda technical support.

Physical Security Systems Administration

  • Door Badge System: Act as the liaison between Youngs Security and facilities, maintain the door badge server, and reset door panels when needed.
  • Alarm System (Beardstown): Serve as the liaison between Youngs Security and the Beardstown facility, with knowledge of motion sensors and timed settings.
  • Security Camera Systems (Beardstown & Virginia): Act as the liaison for Youngs Security (Beardstown) and maintain knowledge of both the Beardstown and Virginia camera systems.
  • Electronic Sign Updates: Use Ignite12 software to update outside signs.

HIPAA Security Officer Duties

  • HIPAA Compliance: Serve as the designated HIPAA Security Officer, responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s information security program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI).
  • Risk Management: Conduct Security Risk Assessments (SRA) to identify, analyze, and manage risks to ePHI.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver mandatory HIPAA security training for all employees, and organize relevant meetings, webinars, and additional training sessions.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to all HIPAA Security Rule requirements, HITECH Act, and other relevant federal and state data privacy regulations.
  • Liaison (IDPH): Serve as the DPH Portal Registration Authority (PRA), maintaining login information and forms for users, managing the facility portal account, approving additional users, and acting as a liaison between the facility and IDPH to ensure appropriate employee access.

Qualifications

 Education and/or Experience

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred; or a combination of education and equivalent experience. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills typically acquired through on-the-job experience.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT administration roles, demonstrating a broad range of technical expertise. (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years of dedicated experience in an IT security role, with a strong emphasis on HIPAA compliance in a healthcare or highly regulated environment. (Preferred)
  • Proven hands-on experience with network administration (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi). (Required)
  • Experience in a help desk or user support capacity. (Required)
  • Experience managing various cloud-based administrative consoles (M365, Google Workspace, Adobe). (Preferred)

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule, Privacy Rule, and breach notification procedures.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) and enterprise networking hardware.
  • Proficiency in administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, threat detection, virus protection, and basic incident response.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and SaaS administration.
  • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and ticketing systems.
  • Competency in hardware diagnostics, repair, and troubleshooting.
