The Breakdown: 

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the daily management of the inbound and outbound workflow to The America’s distribution operations. Assists in the management of the inbound transportation from origin port to DC dock—working with both the international freight forwarder and 3PL; manages delivery fulfillment for National Accounts and operational processes of the company’s distribution centers by working with, Sales Operations, Order Management, Trade, and other internal customers on the allocation of orders, shipping priorities, scheduling/traffic management, customs clearance and vendor compliance.

What You Get To Do: 

  • Assist in managing the flow of inbound product to The America’s distribution centers, preparing inbound documentation and active shipment reporting.
  • Communicates daily with Burton’s 3PL’s, monitoring key performance indicators for inbound, outbound, and returns. Actively participates on daily conference calls with Burton’s 3PL’s, monitoring priorities, shipping windows, and resolving customer specific logistics questions. 
  • Analyzes fulfillment rates for wholesale and DTC customers and actively works with the NA Account Management teams to execute timely deliveries to customers. Works within SAP daily, using and understanding transactions related to inventory levels and product availability as it relates to delivery creation and order fulfillment.
  • Assist the North American Distribution Manager with tracking and reporting of The America’s financial shipping targets.
  • Works directly with the Account Management teams to execute customer compliance requirements, research compliance offset charge and shipping window management. 
  • Works directly with the Burton Guide team to troubleshoot logistics related matters and assist in the resolution of DTC shipping issues.  Provides support for internal Burton customers to fulfill orders through allocation processes, executing deliveries for marketing and promotional orders.
  • Daily audit of returns processing to ensure returned product is meeting the dock to stock KPI and credits are issued timely and accurately.

This position will require occasional travel to regional distribution centers.

What You'll Bring to the Team: 

Qualified candidates will possess a business degree and 1-3 years general business experience, preferably in an operations setting.  Strong analytical, project management and communication skills are required.  Advanced Excel skills are a must, working knowledge of SAP a plus.
