The Breakdown: 
The Burton Brand Creative team provides compelling design, product imagery and messaging that elevates the Burton brand vision.  We seek achievers, leaders and visionaries, and we are looking for those who can grow, think, dream and create. Thinks high level to translate brand objectives into creative solutions. Focuses on what the idea is, and how it is communicated. Works with people more than computers.  Leads the creative process from idea to concept, from production to launch, ensuring excellence, consistency and quality of design thinking throughout. 

In this role, you will run large scale, cross-functional design programs working in collaboration with marketing strategists, producers, creative leaders, writers, and fellow designers to develop and execute ideas across all channels such as events, retail experiences, print, and digital.  With a deep knowledge and passion for design, typography, motion, messaging, storytelling, and interaction, you will inspire our creative team to find opportunities within challenge and drive an emphatic consumer-centered point of view.

 What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 3-5 years' experience with leading teams, with expert-level discipline and knowledge in the areas of developing creative standards, graphic design, typography, events, retail experiences, color theory, composition, illustration, desktop publishing, multimedia content development, and interactive design.
  • Bachelor's degree required in a design discipline.
