Job Responsibilities:

 POSITION SUMMARYProviding an exceptional Guest drinking and dining experience is the primary duty of the Bartender. This is accomplished through a customized service style and suggestive selling. Taking orders for drinks and food in the bar, processing Guest orders in a quick and efficient manner both for bar Guests and Servers, following correct and accurate payment procedures are all done with an outgoing smile and a sense of helping Guests in a personable, positive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Creates an exceptional experience for the Guest in the bar. Has fun with them and establishes a "regular Guest" rapport. Provides prompt, efficient, courteous service.
  • Works the Bar areas, and constantly interacts with Guests.
  • Makes suggestions for drink and food, utilizing salesmanship to increase check average.
  • Responsible for full compliance of company alcohol serving policy.
  • Takes food orders from guests and inputs into P.O.S. system
  • Ensures that all food and beverages you serve are in keeping with our standards of quality and freshness.
  • Assists in preparing tables in the Bar for new Guests.
  • Controls product costs.
  • Handles cash and records transactions in accordance with company policies. All products and services must be ordered through the POS system.
  • Handles money and make change in a quick and accurate manner.
  • Has the ability to follow service guidelines in highly distracting circumstances.
  • Has a thorough working knowledge of the P.O.S. system.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of the food, beverage, and Bar menus.
  • Has the ability to handle Guest dissatisfaction using empowerment and answer Guest questions
  • Is proactive in offering assistance to Guests who need it, and remains with the Guest until the problem is resolved
  • Is responsible for general cleanliness of the bar area including, but not limited to, using a pan and broom to clean debris, cleaning drinks and/or food spills, bussing tables, and cleaning bar shelves
  • Has above average concern for cleanliness and hygiene; both personal and professional.
  • Assisting the Restaurant Servers, Lanes Servers, and Banquet Servers whenever possible and/or necessary.
  • Providing information for all Guests as requested.
  • Sweeping the floors and emptying trash from the Bar area.
  • Keeping the floor area wiped clean of water spills and safe for working. • Wiping chairs in the Bar thoroughly of food and beverage debris.
  • Thoroughly cleaning the tables in the Bar, both top and bases.
  • Dusting the ledges, shelves and walls in the Bar.
  • Refilling the ice bin continually throughout the shift.
  • Stocking supplies: straws, napkins, garnishes, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must be 21/yrs of age and have one (1) yr of Food and Beverage service experience. High school diploma or GED equivalent recommended. Bartending School helpful. Experience may be substituted for schooling. Good communication skills. Must be neat, clean, and professional. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must possess or obtain upon hire ServSafe Food Handlers & Alcohol Certification.

Must pass a drug screen and background check
