FEC Food and Beverage Manager

Job Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible to ensure we deliver our promise to every guest and deliver a memorable experience. Also responsible for all aspects of food and beverage operations including quality control, profitability, food and beverage personnel management and scheduling, food and beverage area cleanliness and maintenance, product control and security, and inventory management in the individual location. In addition, coordinates and executes all parties and banquets with the management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Ensure all guest service and suggestive selling standards are met.
  • Ensure all operating, quality and cost control standards are met.
  • Manages all P&L line items related to F&B and bar operations.
  • Food quality and recipe adherence.
  • On premise liaison between the venue and contracted vendors.
  • Food and Beverage and bar team member recruiting, development and training.
  • Food and Beverage team member scheduling and labor management.
  • All aspects of units ordering, receiving, inventory and cost control systems.
  • Timely and systematic feedback on contracted vendors' service execution.
  • Coordinates and executes all F&B and bar requirements for parties and banquets.
  • POS trainer.
  • Executes all promotions and local store marketing campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two (2) years FOH Restaurant Management experience in a high volume casual full service environment that includes high variety menu, full alcohol service including draft and banquet service.
  • Experience in supervising managers and all FOH and BOH employees.
  • At least 1 year BOH leadership experience including Kitchen management systems.
  • Strong coaching, training and motivation skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Shall possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.
  • Must have or obtain upon hire Food Handlers and Alcohol ServSafe certification.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

LANUGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
  • Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
  • Basic computer skills and spread sheet familiarity.
  • Oversee daily production facilities.
  • Quality control.
  • Managing cost control systems
  • Food and Beverage team member hiring, training and development.
  • Operational and P&L problem resolution and implementation of solutions.
  • Administration duties including Food and Beverage team member scheduling, ordering, receiving, and team member reviews.
  • Hands on work environment.
