Job Description:

The Bair Foundation is looking for a Qualified Mental Health Professional in TYLER, TEXAS!

Responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients with mental health issues. Facilitates therapeutic services in accordance with The Bair Foundation’s mission and values the provision of a safe, secure, and nurturing living experience for COA Regulations and the State’s Department of Mental Health and /or Addiction Services (if applicable).

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures that abuse and neglect concerns are appropriately reported and immediate actions are taken to ensure client safety.
  • Assess the well–being of clients and mitigate any identified risk with the direct supervisor and other appropriate team members.
  • Call and visit clients in their homes to assure the quality and appropriateness of services provided to each client.
  • Submit documentation of calls and visits within 24 hours of the event to the Supervisor.
  • Participate in the development and provide services to each client based on the service needs defined in the Individual Service Plan (ISP); Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP); or Comprehensive Case Plan (CCP).
  • Coordinate services to assure effective communications with the treatment team.
  • Utilize various assessment tools to prioritize and target problem behavior for use in the ISP/ITP/CCP.
  • Attend professional conferences and seminars to comply with state regulations regarding training hours.
  • Meet with county/other mental health personnel to provide a report on the client’s progress.
  • Maintain productivity requirements based on employment status as defined in Bair policy.
  • Provide an environment that promotes respect for clients, their privacy, and confidentiality that follows HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in supervision and required team meetings for the client’s served.
  • Coach caregivers in the consistent implementation of home-based behavioral supports, if applicable.
  • Assist in the transition of community services, working in cooperation with other providers/agencies.
  • Assure all required billing documentation is prepared accurately and timely.



Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of hours that are equivalent to a major in Psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention.
