Overview:

Assist clients in navigating the inpatient mental health system.  Coordinates and monitors group activities.  Communicate with and problem-solve client complaints.  Serve as liaison between clients, staff, and administration and other units.  Manage and coordinator unit training for newly hired Mental Health Assistants (MHAs). Assist Nurse Manager in supervision of MHAs. Coordinate unit functioning with Inpatient Administration. Supervises emergency events as needed. 

Shift : Monday- Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Rate of Pay: $18.00-$20.00/ hr. 
0-2Y $18.00 per hour
3-5Y $19.00 per hour
6+Y $20.00 per hour

Education and Experience:

Education/Experience: 

  • Master's degree preferred with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related human services field or bachelors degree.
  • Two years of inpatient experience
  • Two years of related professional administrative experience in inpatient setting preferred.
  • Professional clinical experience in a psychiatric/community mental health setting preferred.

Licensure or Certification:

  • Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with no more than 6 points over 3 years.
  • Maintain authorization as an approved Center vehicle driver.
