Overview:

The TEAM Licensed Clinician performs crisis intervention, risk assessment and referral services for individuals in the community that are experiencing a mental health crisis. The Licensed Clinician will be part of a 2-person team which includes law enforcement. The TEAM (Tallahassee Emergency Assessment Mobile) will be operating off-site and will be dispatched to the community through 9-1-1. The Licensed Clinician will strive to avert psychiatric hospitalization though crisis intervention, but may initiate the Baker Act or Marchman Act for involuntary examination when appropriate. The Licensed Clinician will make referrals and help to connect individuals with community resources and treatment and will conduct risk assessments.

Hours: varying shifts

Rate of Pay:  $35.00-$37.00/hr., plus shift differential 

Education and Experience:

QUALIFICATIONS:   

Education/Experience:  

Master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human services field. 

Two years of related professional experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness on an inpatient or outpatient basis, including crisis intervention.
Licensure or Certification: 

Must be licensed by the State of Florida as a clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor or clinical psychologist.

Valid Driver's License with no more than 6 points over 3 years.
