RN's delivers nursing care, applies current nursing principles and techniques in the care and treatment of patients, takes vital signs and administers medication as prescribed, assists physicians in patient management and treatment, provides nursing assessment, monitoring, education, and treatment services and activities, provides crisis intervention, and prepares and maintains patient records.

Completes pre-admission nursingassessments at the request of E&A. Completes admission Nursing Assessments in accordance with Client RecordHandbook and unit procedure specifications. Incorporates findings in treatment and nursing care plans incollaboration with Medical Staff.

Receives, documents andimplements/carries out Admission, Standing/Routine and ad hoc physician ordersin accordance with unit procedures. Conducts “read back” process for each verbal order in accordance withAgency policy/unit procedures.  Providesand documents direct nursing care as needed in accordance with unit proceduresand approved Treatment Plans/physician's orders.  Documents according to JC standards.

 Conducts ongoing monitoring of unitfunctioning.  Provides direct supervisionof LPNs to ensure performance of required duties and functions.   Assignsstaff to fulfill patient supervision and medical management/ADL needs throughshift assignments.  Coordinatesimplementation of nursing/MHA procedures on assigned shift.

Performs ongoing nursingsupervision, assessment and monitoring of patients.  Follows-up on client medical complaints.  Ensures Family Practice Physician/ARNP isnotified of clients needing admission physicals, consults, or otherservices.  Notifies physician of changesin client's condition.  Documents shiftand ad hoc nursing care progress notes in accordance with unit procedures.

 Coordinatesmedication administration process in accordance with unit procedures andprovides back-up to the LPN as needed. Verifies proper identification of patient using two identifiers(photograph and name) for each medication administration and clinical testprocedure in accordance with Agency policy/Unit procedure. Maintains unitcompliance with applicable medication management, storage and narcoticcontrol policies and procedures. Audits on a regular basis to verify compliance with unitprocedures. Oversees the proper and accurate completion/update of patientMARs in accordance with unit procedures. Oversees Medication Captain and ensures monthly medication roominspections and inpatient monthly drug inspection forms are completed eachmonth.  Orders medications fromPharmacy in advance to prevent deficiency. Coordinates Temperature logdocumentation.

Education and Experience:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida statue 464.
Shift: Saturday and Sunday 7:30pm-8:00am

Rate of Pay: $26.00hr
