Serves as lead nurse ofpsychiatric nursing services for assigned CRF night shift and is the Inpatient Administrator over the hospital (all units) forthe night shift (7:30pm – 8am). Assists in planning, directing and monitoringservices to ensure quality patient care and safety and compliance withapplicable rules, policies and procedures.

Serves as the lead RN for the CRFnight shift; while on-duty, provides direct supervision and direction for 7:30pm – 8:00 am RNs and other CRF staff as assigned by CRF RN Lead and CRF TeamLeader. 


Oversees nursing responsibilitiesacross all inpatient units in accordance with established procedures for thenight shift (7:30 pm – 8:00 am) under direction from the Inpatient Director; Ensuresunit and entire inpatient facility operates in accordance with establishedpolicies and procedures and medical staff direction; assists unit nurses incompletion of admission process when needed.

Provides supervision to other unitsby rounding on each unit multiple times per night and by phone. Provides guidance and direction to all units regardingadmissions, clinical challenges, staffing issues, and reassignment of staffthroughout the facility to ensure adequate coverage, and policy enforcement, whennecessary.


Completespre-admission nursing assessments, referral processing, medication administration,and all roles established with the CRF RN position.


Providessupport to new employee on-the-job training for nursing personnel (staff andcontract) in accordance with established orientation program plans, as directedby CRF RN Lead.


Supports CRF Team Leader andInpatient Director to ensure ongoing program and unit compliance withapplicable Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, C&F/ADM, and Agency Policies andProcedures.  Facilitates ongoingmaintenance of documentation to demonstrate compliance (e.g., via programprocedures, staffing plans, training plans, meeting minutes, clinical records, etc.).


Oversees and/or maintains unitcompliance with applicable medication management, storage and narcotic controlpolicies and procedures.  Oversees othernight shift CRF RN completes the proper patient assessments, referralprocessing, medication reconciliation, and MARs as applicable, in accordancewith unit procedures.


Completes documentation ofseclusion/hold interventions and turns forms into the CRF Team Leader on atimely basis (e.g., next working day) for review.

Education and Experience:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with Florida statue 464 with a minimum of 5 years of experience. 
  • Three (3) years of psychiatric RN experience required.
Shift:    Schedule B, 7:30 pm - 8:00 am (days of the week will vary), every other weekend off.

Rate of Pay:

To be considered for employment, you will be required to undergo a criminal background check, employment references check, and drug screening. In addition you must have a current and valid driver's license with no more than 6 points. A 3 year driving record will also be required upon hire.
