Overview:


Support Coordinators provide support and resource identification functions to customers recovering from psychiatric illnesses under clinical supervision and assists with treatment; may provide substance abuse services, education, support and consultation to families; provides crisis intervention as appropriate and serves as integral member of the crisis counseling, stabilization and therapy team.


Trained in SSI/SSDI/ Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) and assist eligible clients gaining SSI/SSDI.

Attends and participates in staff/unit meetings as required.

Travels between Taylor and Jefferson Counties. 


Rate of Pay:  $19.00-$21.00/hr.  

0-2Y = $19.00 per hour
3-5Y = $20.00 per hour
6+Y= $21.00 per hour


Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.
  • Or other Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and one (1) year full time experience working with adults experiencing serious mental illness. 
  • Ability to manage a large caseload in the provision of focused, short term services.


To be considered for employment, you will be required to undergo a criminal background check, employment references check, and drug screening. In addition you must have a current and valid driver's license with no more than 6 points. A 3 year driving record will also be required upon hire.
