Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Certified Traffic Controller to join our team. Certified means that you have been to a class and have a valid current flagger card. As a Certified Traffic Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow at construction sites and roadwork zones. This is a dynamic position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Direct traffic at construction sites and roadwork zones to ensure the safety of workers and motorists
Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades
Communicate with coworkers and drivers using hand signals, two-way radios, or other communication devices
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as necessary
Provide assistance to drivers who require directions or information
Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors or appropriate authorities
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and drivers
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Previous experience and current certification as a Traffic Controller required
Must have a dependable vehicle and able to commute to the job site daily and be able to work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work overtime if necessary
