Logistics Manager Railway Operations

This position will directly report to General Manager of Production and will work closely with the Project Managers and Foreman’s to successfully manage the Job’s expectations.


  • isit various work locations to lead accident investigations, inspections, risk assessments
  • Perform internal audits of programs and practices evaluate the information and provide feedback as required
  • Assist in administration and documentation of company programs
  • Assist in the planning setup and start-up of new projects
  • Oversee and coordinate key resources for multiple crews
  • Manage procedure execution of equipment and manpower in conjunction with the Project Manager
  • Asses staffing needs and help in the recruitment process
  • Uphold the companies commitment to safety by leading by example and supporting the core values
  • Monitor and control costs when executing Equipment Transfers, Crew Re-locations, Project Materials and Fleet Repairs
  • Help develop and create divisional processes to improve efficiencies within the division

  • Provides strong leadership and Communication to Production team members, capitalizing on individual and group strength
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs, investigate the underlying causes and identify short and long term solutions

  • Demonstrate the ability to think critically, act logically to evaluate situations, solve problems, and make decisions

  • 3-5 years of Fleet experience with 25-50+ vehicles
  • A degree or diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalent discipline is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • 3-5 years of Experience working in the industrial and/or construction industry
  • Familiarity with terminology and service of railway equipment is preferred
  • Some travel is required during busy season
  • Strong computer skills are required with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suits, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • General understanding of maintenance and repair methods
